Rap, Florida, etc.

So,
My brother in law got me into rap, and i'm a total novice, but the little i know about i love. i wish i was cooler, so i could react correctly to the music i'm hearing, but instead i just turn up the bass, and make the car shake in boca, where it's just rich jews, and they don't care, because the noise is coming out of a corolla, of all cars. i'm enjoying Black Star, some early Outkast, and I think some Common. I honestly don't know all their names. I like it, anyway. And I'm expanding my horizions.

i hate florida (sorry to those of you, reading this, who are from or currently reside in this state). I hate it because there are palmetto bugs the size of my hand (they are, effectively, roaches.) I hate the heat, i hate that i'm afraid of a tropical storm that might, in a weeks time, fall into the cone of uncertainty where i will already be exiting, but might still affect my family. I hate how being down here makes me feel, and i hate that i'm eager to return to the obese midwest so that i can feel better about my figure. i hate that in a place of such varied cultures there are still so many stereotypes, and more importantly, that this is probably where most of them were born.

And that's pretty much it. :)

GRADUATION

Just taking a brief moment out of my whirlwind trip around the US to say:

I'M OFFICIALLY A COLLEGE GRADUATE....

only 7 years and 80,000 dollars (which I think means I took longer than you, George, if that's even possible)

Money well spent. Now i'm going to go actually live my life instead of using this useless degree. :)

Isn't that brilliant? Coming to an ice rink near you...

Anniversary Week! :)

Two years ago this week (starting with Monday) Allan and I tied the knot! Most of the people who read this blog were there for that event, and I'm so very grateful to all of you for coming and loving us enough to drive to the middle of nowhere. (even if some of you got so lost you never showed up ;)) The further away from the actual event we get, the more i realize how special it truly was. We didn't have 19 million people, we didn't have h'ors d'oerves and a band and a big cake, but it was truly truly special. We are celebrating in much the same way the actual event happened. We are celebrating little bit by little bit, in between working and me getting sick and Allan's finals. We had a simple dinner last night, and then i went back to sleep. Allan went to work today, we had lunch and now i'm going to work. It's all very low key, which is very nice. Our wedding was low key, and now our anniversary will be low key, seems only appropriate. :) The only real difference is that we're going to celebrate a little bit every day for this whole week! That's really exciting! :)

We got married two weeks to the day before christmas, which wasn't the plan, but oh well. We're staying in ohio for Christmas, and I'm probably working on Christmas day, which will be fine. I wish you all a happy holiday season!

Tip your baristas! :)
